Do We Not Know How To Type Anymore!?

Really truly and honestly...Can we not type anymore? I mean...I wept whenever people type like so ie: Hey wuz up? Nm wat u doin? Okay...But even that was slightly tolerable. However now I noticed something new. Not I noticed that people are cutting the letters out of words so I don't even know what the Hell they're talking about! Seriously. The following are some messages someone sent me that caused me to grit my teeth and unfortunately put them on ignore.

Them: Busy wid which movie
Me: Coraline.
Them: I jst watched management and the day the earth stood still
Me: Oh.
Them: Old movies Yh
Them: ?
Me: What the Hell does Yh mean?
Them: Wats coraline Abt
Them: Yh means yeah
Me: What the hell does abt mean?
Them: Abt means about
Me: Do you not know how to type the entire word? Are you that lazy? Have we completely failed as a race where we have to cut out letters or words now?
Them: Wna hook with me online?
Me: Look I'm going back to my movie later.
Them: Bye Tc chat l8r
Them: But plz chat wid me l8r dont forsake me
Me: Learn how to type properly and I might.

Alright now I didn't put the whole conversation in but enough to make me want to yank my hair out. Seriously? Is this what it has come down to nowdays? Gah! >.<

I don't quite know when people became stupid online. Back in the days of my AOL roleplaying and general chat, everybody used full words, complete sentences and stuff. Typos happen but, nobody is perfect after all.

I am not sure what happened from then until now. But I blame phone texting for much of it. You see, back before the days when phones could take pictures, surf the web, send messages and play games, they were basically used for talking.

But when the texting came out, everybody began to shorten things up because it was easier to do on the phone, and it just transferred from the phone world to everyday internet use. Yes, people are hard to understand and "Wuz" is nothing more then a poor excuse for a typo to me as well.

People are generally lazy when it comes to doing really much of anything these days. Try to get the most result out of the least amount of effort usually.

I also blame "ASL, LOL, TTYL, BBIAB" And other stupid acronyms like that. It was the beginning of all that is lazy on the internet. I mean, seriously when you type "LOL" how many times do you really "LOL?" Its nothing more then a filler these days. Less work, more result. But I blame texting more then these, as people text far more often these days.

There is nothing unfortunate about putting those morons on ignore in my book. If u type 2 me lik dis...I'll shoot you. No questions asked, no mercy given. You are gone.

Sad days for people in general I'd have to agree with your observation! We don't know how to type anymore, but that is just one of many..many things we fail at.

-Eye twitches...Flails...Then dies.- Haha just kidding! Thanks! My birthday wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. KoRn was in Austin so my brother took me and he even caught a guitar pick for me! So as far as birthdays go it was the best one. And yes unfortunately I do blame texting. I mean...I text...A lot. I have unlimited texting on my phone. But even I don't text like that. Yes I'm guilty of typing "lol" and "lmao" a lot of times. Or using emoticons but that's because I'm lazy. We all know this. But at least I try to type as correctly as I am able even when inebriated. Alright...Enough of my rambling because I have a project I actually have to work on and I don't want Chaos to eat me. -Huge grin then hides.-

Indeed. A topic is a good thing to work on. Yeah. I pretty much blame texting for the current state of internet conversation skills.

I never text. Even when I did a couple of times it took forever because I tried to get every word spelled right, I quickly learned to not like texting.
